I feel as though I need to have my accomplishments known. â??Look at me. Look what Iâ??ve done.â? As if You cannot tell what I do in private.

â??But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

Iâ??m caught into the lure of corporate worship. Why when I pray to you in private am I shown what a hypocrite I am? How I love to hear praise of myself in front of others.

â??When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. â??But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

I am caught up in my worries for myself. Look at me running around checking my bank account, my girlfriend, my social network. Look at all the things I put before You. What should I do?
