Brian ‘Head’ Welch Finds God and Leaves Korn

Guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, a founding member of Korn, has left the band and has rededicated his life to Christianity, according to the group’s management.

“Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch, who has chosen Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end,” a statement from the band reads. “Korn respects Brian’s wishes, and hopes he finds the happiness he’s searching for.“1

This is great news to hear (thanks John). It’s weird that I used to idolize these guys not so long ago, and now to see how where I have come from and where Brian is going is awesome! This is surreal. He’s even leaving for Israel at the end of this month (Acts 8:26–40)!

Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.“
Mark 10:21

Also: my brother Nick wrote an incredible article on this history of the Assemblies of God movement.
