Friends Departing

Leroy and Erin left yesterday to go to Namibia, Africa. They will be there for 2 years, and they have a long term goal to end up in Iraq. Aaron and Stacia are about are moving to Utah next month, because Aaron took a job down there (by the way, Stacia’s pregnant!). This is important, because Aaron will be in a strategic position to further his Mormon ministry. Bobby Fleck told me he’s decided to go to Turkey next summer and will hopefully take his girlfriend. I’ve gone to Apex the last two weeks, and I have seen the wonderful things they are doing there with challenging the congregation to focus on the nations.

I am so encouraged to see my bretheren take the call from God seriously and manifest it in their lives. I love each of them so much, and I am sad but my elation greatly supersedes any earthly fear and reservation I have. This must be what its like when I tell my parents I would like to be in the Middle East. I praise God on this day for the wonderful things He is doing, in spite of humans, to make Himself known. To see Him grab a hold of followers of Him has been an incredible experience. I hope and pray for the same.

And He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.” But He said to him, “Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God.“
