The Weekend in Review

Well, today I have officially accomplished nothing. I slept in through church (I’m not even going to say how late), and I love so much my preacher’s sermons. I had a busy weekend though. On Friday night Crusade had their first social to the WSU soccer game, and they won 1–0 over Bowling Green (that’s right, go Raiders!). We then went to Don Pablo’s and went to watch Bobby Fleck play a pick up game at the Kettering Rec Center. I stayed the night at Matt’s house, because we planned on hanging out the next day anyway.

Saturday, Matt and I went to another Crusade social at Young’s Dairy. Did the putt-putt thing; I was only +1 at the turn but the back nine ripped me up! Matt and I went with Evan Johansen down to Columbus to walk around. It was amazing to see the extent of depravity in that area. It was like sin city. They had these street preachers hollering at the passers by, but they were just getting heckled. We then went to Andy Brown’s house to watch the game (we thought we could watch it at the Shot Center, but they weren’t playing it there). I sat down to watch TV for the first time in 1.5 years. I made a pact to not watch TV, but we were just all out together. Andy grilled out, and I got to be the only Texas fan cheer on their win 25–22 over OSU. It was a great game.

Today, as I said, I have accomplished nothing. I got my car back from the shop which is always good. I’ve had nothing but problems with that car recently. I did write my second post for Thinking Deeply entitled “Avoiding Fruitless Theology”. At least I did that! I have to get some homework done tomorrow. Only have one class tomorrow. I’m ranting for no reason. Ending post.
