Imperishable Inheritance

After John Calvin passes away, he enters into final judge­ment where he is met by Christ. Christ then pro­ceeds to tell him, “Hello John, I have good news; and I have bad news. Which one do you want first?”

John, after quite a shock, says, “I guess I’ll take the bad news first.”

“Well John,” Christ pro­claims, “I am about to banish you to hell where you will be tor­mented day in and day out for all eternity.”

John is then taken a back (and quite sur­prised). He then asks Christ, “What then could pos­si­bly be the good news?”

Christ then looks at him and says, “Well, it turns out you were right about the whole pre­des­ti­na­tion thing.”
