On Being Reformed (A Series)

I have decided that I would like to write my first series of postings on a specific topic. The series has a few aims. First, I want to clearly defined what is traditionally meant by “reformed’ in theological parlance. I want to connect reformed theology with the five solas, Calvinistic soteriology, covenant theology, etc., but it doesn’t end there. I want to outline what it means to be a reformed Christian and how it effects our view of God and our relationship with Him.

I will also write about issues that separate reformed Christians, and why I believe you should be a reformed Christian. The series is not meant to be exhaustive by any means, but I hope that it will shed light on the reformed tradition. The following outline will be utilized:

  1. Reformed Theology in History
  2. Core Reformed Theological Distinctives
  3. Issues That Divide Reformed Christians
  4. Common Arguments Against Reformed Theology
  5. Why Should You Be Reformed?
