I know many of you who read my blog also read many others. Often, it is cum­ber­some to go to each and every site to catch up on your friends. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a place we could go to that would have links to all the posts of our friends in one spot? Well, I have such a place.

Blog­lines (www.​blog​lines.com) is a free util­ity that acts as a blogroll. That means you can add friends who use Xanga, Blog­ger, Live­jour­nal, or if they use a pro­gram such as Word­press (such as mine) or Move­able Type. Just go there, sign up, and then you can add each of your friends. You can also down­load a little noti­fier that sits in your system tray, and it actu­ally noti­fies you when one of your friends has posted a new post!

You can then order your friend’s blogs into cat­e­gories, and you have many other options to play with. I can’t pro­mote this util­ity enough. You can view my blogroll (note: if you are not listed, don’t get offended I just list people who update regularly).
