I have a pet peeve amongst Christians (well, one among a few). I get frusturated when Christians attempt to read the Bible for something that it was not intended to be used for. Among the guilty parties are Nouthetic counselors and Answers in Genesis. To give an example of what I’m talking about, let’s visit a few of these. We’ll conclude with how I think the Bible should be read as decreed by God.

It amazes me how many bloggers spent an inordinate amount of time trying to improve their hits, comments, etc. that they forget the most important element in having a good blog. If the content is found lacking then often it doesn’t matter how pretty your site is, or how often your site gets hit. The content of your blog is what separates the good from the bad, and the visited to the not visited.

Nathan Pitchford has done the Christian community a great service by clearly outlining the traditional three-fold covenant structure in classical covenant theology. The exposition isn’t so much of the precepts of covenant theology which I would hold to such as Jesus “becoming” Israel and fufilling all of God’s promises, the concept of a “spiritual Israel,” and the emphasis on the covenants as God’s main mode of revelation.
