I was listening to a sermon by Al Mohler wherein he gave an analogy to explain the different definitions of premodernism and postmodernism in terms of the agent’s perception of truth and reality. I thought about it, and I would like to expand it to include modernism along with changing the analogy slightly to make it easier to comprehend.
The analogy revolves around a boy, and a tree, and how the boy comes to perceive the tree in an ontological sense. In other words,

I went this weekend to visit The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and it was an encouraging time where God solidified that it is a place for me to be. I got the chance to talk with the deans including Russell Moore, and I asked him about classes in biblical theology. He proceeded to tell me that they’re working on a new degree program specialized in that field. I now know what I want to major in. While I want to take some missiology
