In this introduction to a series on the church fathers I define who the church fathers were and why they are of importance to us today. It is the start to a series of historical and theological profiles of the titans of our faith.
In part 3 of this essay, we examine the biblical and theological arguments against the view that Jesus is eternally the Son. In examining these proof texts we find them insufficient to disprove the truth that there is an eternal authority structure in the Godhead.
In part of this essay, we examine theological reasons and biblical support for the view that Jesus is eternally the Son. Through an inspection of the carefully chosen wording and titles used in the New Testament, we can see more clearly support for this vital doctrine.
