The (North American) House Church Movement

The house church move­ment in North Amer­ica has grown expo­nen­tially in an effort to redis­cover what the New Tes­ta­ment says and com­mands about a local church. The prob­lem comes when these house churches func­tion not as inde­pen­dent churches that ful­fill the prece­dent set for a local church. This post is the intro­duc­tion to another where the basic ele­ments of a New Tes­ta­ment church and dis­cussed and reflected upon.
